A very thin optical instrument (4mm.) Similar to a telescope is used and placed through the vaginal canal and cervix, allowing to see inside the uterine cavity, in order to diagnose and treat the problem accurately, obtaining the tissue sample in case an endometrial biopsy is performed, and even recording the images to include them in the patient’s file. Abnormal uterine bleeding is a very common problem in women at different ages of their reproductive life; thus, as in the postmenopausal stage and it must be conveniently studied, in order to have an accurate diagnosis; and, what advises the modern technique and the AAGL (American Association of Laparoscopic Gynecologists), is to realize a direct vision of the uterine cavity; In this way, correct decisions can be made that benefit the patients.
